FLORIDA — A man was found dead in a burning pickup truck after a fire broke out in the harbor freight bay near downtown Miami-Dade.
Crews were searching a small stretch of the cargo bay Saturday night when they found a man who was pronounced dead, said Miami- Dade Fire Rescue spokesman Joe Stacey.
Firefighters also found a woman who had been reported missing by her husband and daughter.
They tried to reach her but couldn’t get through.
The truck was parked on the cargo dock at the entrance to the bay, which is about 50 yards off a busy waterfront boulevard.
Fire investigators found the bodies of a man and woman and that of a child inside the truck, Stacey said.
The man was identified as 46-year-old Anthony Anthony Boudreau.
His body was found by a passerby and the woman was found inside the cab of the truck.
The child, whose name was not released, was taken to the hospital and was listed in critical condition.
The father was not hurt.
The fire was reported about 4 p.m. on the dockyard lot next to the ferry terminal.
